Vijayalakshmi with the objective of developing and providing quality seeds to the farmers at reasonable price. The vision of this company is serving Indian farmers by providing superior quality seeds at an affordable price. The company expanded in crop improvement research, seed production and marketing of superior quality seeds with different hybrids in field crops like Cotton, Maize, Jowar, Bajra and Paddy in across Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamilnadu, Karnataka and Maharashtra states.

This company maintains state of the art R&D facilities for on-going research activities in an area of 8.54 + 4.04 = 12.58 acres at Gudur Village & Mandal, Kurnool District. Our In-House Unit recognized by Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, Ministry of Science and Technology, Govt. of India, New Delhi. R&D division is constantly working on various applications and products to add value, improve volume, widen product base and upgrade the current products with the help of germplasm received from various sources like Regional Agricultural Research Station (Cotton), Nandyal, Central Institute of Cotton Research, Nagpur, Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad, University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad, Directorate of Oil Seeds Research, Hyderabad, DOR, Hyderabad and DSR, Hyderabad. The Company consistently focuses on the changing preferences and needs of farmers. It also maintains well equipped processing units, cold storage units and in-house seed testing laboratory.

The Company’s Managing Director Mr. M. Venkata Rao has over 30 years of experience in the field crops and vegetable seed research. His experience includes firm understanding of principles of genetics; seed purity etc., His long experience in developing elite seed varieties and hybrids using innovative technology and conventional breeding methods helped the company to highlight its products. Prior to starting own company, Mr. Rao produced seed for other major companies for almost a decade. Breeders were engaged to guide him develop the hybrids and agriculture technicians to ensure quality of products.
